For the fourth straight year, I am supporting Best Buddies by participating in the 2013 edition of the Hearst Castle Challenge and attempting to be ready for the Century (100 miles!) ride. 

Best Buddies International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities  

This Blog follows my progress in training for the ride and raising my commitment in funds.  It is also meant to bring awareness to this wonderful group of people and the work that they do.  No personal goals here other than improved fitness and a great ride down California’s rugged Central Coast.
